My name is Brian R. Hickey and this is my blog. I am a 26-year-old Navy submarine veteran. I am currently working for a DoD contractor and I run a small-business on the side. I have been doing IT work since I was 14 and my history with tinkering computers with computers goes back to a very early age. I grew up around technology and it’s something that I have always enjoyed.
I am finally catching up to this Web 2.0 revolution despite using the Internet on a 2400 baud modem years ago. I just recently decided to update my website which looked like it was circa 1994.
I am also proud to say that this blog as well as my archaic website is running on my very own Ubuntu server out in my garage. I will explain how I did this in the near future.
